Take the lead as a
Store Supervisor.

London and South East

You’ll need confidence, capability, common sense and a cool head to handle the full range of management tasks. When you’re the most senior person around, the store team will look to you for direction and support - both in their everyday work and when the unexpected happens. So you’ll need to inspire their confidence, communicate brilliantly and be a great coach and motivator.

It’s a busy and fast-paced place to work so you’ll need lots of energy, to welcome and serve thousands of customers every week. Each day brings new challenges: keeping the store stocked and delivering great customer service, however busy it gets; understanding KPIs and targets and working to hit them; keeping up health and safety and legal standards; training and supporting the team’s development; opening and closing the store and being an on-call keyholder. You’ll be as happy taking charge as you are rolling your sleeves up and getting things done under pressure.

We know we ask a lot of our Store Supervisors. So in return, we reward and support them well. As well as great pay and benefits, our unique Store Supervisor Training College will set you up with all the knowledge and info you need before you start. We’ll help you keep your skills sharp, on-going, and if you want to go further, you could step up onto our renowned management development programme.

If you already have retail supervisor experience but know you could take on more, that’s great. Or you could be a team member who’s ready to take on bigger responsibilities. Or you might be working in another customer-focused business, like food service or hospitality, and looking for a fresh challenge.

Whatever your background, if you’ve got the ability and the attitude and you’re excited at the thought of taking charge of a Sainsbury’s store, apply now.
